Oroville School District allocates funds to the elementary school. Funds are used to provide additional support, through tiered interventions, to meet the needs of students at-risk of not meeting grade level standards in reading and math.
Oroville Elementary will:
- Identify students who need the additional educational support using district assessments for each grade level.
- Set goals for improving areas of student academic need.
- Develop school-wide programs with individual students in mine, to support/supplement regular Tier 1 (classroom) instruction.
- Measure student progress to determine the success of Title I programming.
How parents can help:
- Participate in school events
- Contact your child's teacher with concerns
- Discuss ideas with your student about how you can be involved
- volunteer at the school
- Encourage Learning
- Serve as a role model for your child
- Encourage reading - studies indicate reading 15-20 minutes every night can significantly increase a students reading level
