Jan. 2018

On behalf of the Oroville School District community, Hello and Welcome to this Special place.

Oroville School District is an organization made up of genuine and caring staff. We believe all students enrolled in our district will be provided educational opportunities and experiences to help them reach their full potential. For me as Superintendent, all students, means all students; in this I do not waiver.

To ensure delivery of programs that meet the needs of each student, I place a keen focus on developing systems that help empower staff to use time more effectively, help staff to thoughtfully examine problems and multiple perspectives, to measure and celebrate growth, and to help inform staff about decisions for instructional improvement. In doing so, I understand the value in creating opportunities for others to share in these ideas, so that decisions are made responsibly.

To further our mission to provide all students quality learning experiences, I hope that you might share your ideas, feedback and or concerns with me. Please, do feel free to contact me at any time at the Oroville School District Office at 1-509-476-2281. I have the belief that responsible communication and trusting partnerships is needed to accomplish this important work.

School closure information due to poor weather will be reported here with additional information being provided on our transportation page. We rarely delay or cancel school because of poor weather due to our trained bus drivers, the city and county crews clearing bus routes efficiently on questionable days, and most of us are accustomed to driving in wintery conditions.
